From Ippo to Ideallab: How We Found Our Direction
Ippocra today has two sections: Ippo, the health platform for families, and Ideallab, software and AI consulting for businesses.
But it hasn’t always been this way.
Ippocra was born with a single idea
It all started with Ippo — the health platform that organizes, finds, and securely shares medical records. We built it starting from a concrete problem we had seen up close: scattered documents, hard to find, impossible to share with anyone who isn’t an expert.
The mission was clear: make health more manageable for Italian families. And for a while, that was all there was.
The market spoke to us
While we were working on Ippo, requests from another direction began to come in more frequently. Businesses, small and medium-sized, were asking us: “Can you build us a tool that does this?”
We initially viewed them as distractions. Then we realized they weren’t.
One of these projects became Rendiconto — born from direct experience with BRAL BRUSAFERRI SRL, a company that was manually cross-referencing invoices and transport tolls from different suppliers with different discounts. An incredibly long process, entirely manual, with no software able to solve it. We built it tailored to that specific case, and it worked.
But it was the feedback from others that changed everything: “What you did for BRAL, can you do it for us too?”
We realized we were facing a real, widespread need, and — most importantly — a need people were willing to pay for.
The decision: opening Ideallab
We opened Ideallab, the division dedicated to custom software and AI consulting for SMEs.
It wasn’t in the initial plan. But it was the direction the market was forcing us toward.
Ideallab is born from a clear observation: most SMEs don’t need prefabricated tools — they have data problems, manual processes, and software that doesn’t adapt to the way they work. And those are the exact same skills we used to build Ippo: privacy-first, pragmatic, built around real-world workflows.

AI consulting
Practical artificial intelligence integration for SMEs. We assess where AI generates value, recommend the right approach (often not the one you’d expect), and help you implement it.
And behind both lies the same promise: your data stays yours. No lock-in, no cloud API calls, no data leakage.

Let’s be honest: today we’re putting everything into Ideallab.
Ippo isn’t on pause. It’s a working product, we’re improving it day by day, and we’ll continue to serve it. But the reality is the market is speaking loudly, and Ideallab is where we’re concentrating our energy.
Ippo isn’t going anywhere. It will remain active, continue to receive maintenance and new improvements, and will continue to serve those who already use it and those who will in the future. But the main growth and development are on Ideallab.

What’s next
With Ideallab, we’re building something that can truly make a difference for SMEs. We already have projects in progress, new partnerships incoming, and interest that exceeds every expectation.
We’re also exploring a direction close to our hearts: local AI. Running artificial intelligence models on your own infrastructure, not on third-party servers.
